School Service

Knowledge Hub Zealand school service

Knowledge Hub Zealand handles the project management of Kalundborg Skoletjeneste, which gives the schools in Kalundborg Municipality the opportunity to work purposefully with open school by facilitating collaboration with external learning environments, including local companies and educational institutions.

The School Service contributes with learning activities that can support schools' efforts in the STEM field. In addition, the School Service provides the opportunity to facilitate learning activities where students work practically and concretely with materials, technologies and digital tools to solve real-life problems.

To further support the educational food chain, Knowledge Hub Zealand is working on the BioTEK-Future and BioTEK Championships projects:

BioTEK-Future

Knowledge Hub Zealand is project managing the BioTEK-Future project, where schools, education and businesses are working together to create educational programmes in food and robotics. The courses will show children and young people a possible STEM future in the Biotech City of Kalundborg.

The project focuses on strengthening children and young people's technological and scientific curiosity and inspiring more young people to choose education and careers in the STEM field in the Biotech City Kalundborg. The project will result in innovative and different educational programmes, where students will discover how learning is directly linked to educational and career opportunities.

The BioTEK-Future project is a collaboration between Kalundborg Municipality, University College Absalon, Nordvestsjællands Erhvervs- og Gymnasieuddannelser (formerly. EUC Nordvestsjælland) and Knowledge Hub Zealand with financial support from the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
