The Biotech City, Kalundborg is on a rapid growth journey in terms of its development within areas such as education and innovation - all in close collaboration between educational institutions, industry, and public authorities. We collaborate with the Department of Children, Learning and Education on the operation of Knowledge Hub Zealand School Service.
Knowledge Hub Zealand School Service was officially launched on 1 September 2020, and in just one year it has succeeded in supporting and strengthening the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) food chain in Kalundborg through the development of more than 200 targeted programs for schools and businesses.
Knowledge Hub Zealand School Service annually publishes a catalogue of local and national learning opportunities for students in primary schools. The catalogue also lists events and courses for teachers and school management. Local learning opportunities include cooperations with companies and educational institutions as well as relevant events and competitions that take place in Kalundborg community.
Based on the annual catalogue, Knowledge Hub Zealand School Service designs an individually tailored science package of activities for each school.
The catalogue is published annually in first quarter of the calendar year to accommodate the schools' planning for the coming school year.
