The results of the new report indicate that the green transition and digitalization takes up more and more space today than it did just three years ago, where the report was published the first time.
The report also shows that recruitment challenges are by far the largest challenge both for the industry as a whole and for the individual companies.
If finding the right talent continues in the coming years, the recruitment challenge may potentially step on the brake of the life science industry’s continuous development.
On top of that, the report indicates an industry development trend which underlines that the demand of sustainability is turning into a condition for the industry. And the industry increasingly experiences that both the market and legislators demand and require more sustainable products and processes.
These conditions entail challenges to many Danish life science companies as new and more sustainable products do not only demand research and development but also tests and approvals posing risks of losing a companies’ competitive edge on the global market.
The report was published 4th October 2023.
