Talent to a green Denmark

Talent to a Green Denmark focuses on attracting international labor to Danish companies.

Background and Purpose

The project helps Danish companies gain new in-demand foreign skills to ensure their continued growth and Denmark's green transition. There is a strong increase in foreign labor, but it is not without its practical, cultural and linguistic challenges.

The current widespread labor shortage hits small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) particularly hard. This project creates a unified national gateway to skilled labor through two main efforts:

  • Attracting highly skilled labor directly from abroad (highly educated and skilled workers with green transition skills)
  • Recruitment of international students and graduates in Denmark
  • Skills development that empowers SMEs so that management and employees are able to attract and onboard well-qualified foreign labor

How to proceed

Whether your company is experienced in - or new to - attracting, hiring and on-boarding international employees, there are a range of activitiesthat can support your current recruitment needs.

  • International digital talent attraction campaigns
  • Ambassador network
  • Matchmaking events
  • Career programs
  • Individual sparring on getting ready for the green transition on the employee side
  • Individual coaching to get ready to hire international specialists
  • Toolkit for recruiting international talent
  • Masterclass on recruiting international employees in manufacturing companies
